Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk

Wow I am late to the Magdalena Bay party! A friend showed me her song "Image" a while ago, and I finally got around to listening to the whole thing. Obviously as a neocities user I love computer metaphors and aesthetics, and this album really does it justice. It has strong thematic cohesion while being dancy, philosophical, and musically sound. Her vocals, the instrumentation, and the mixing is all amazing.

Elita - Hell Hill

Today on 4/25/25, dark electronic pop artist Elita released her second album Hell Hill. I've been following Elita for a few years now, and I've enjoyed seeing her flesh out her discography. Combining distorted instrumentals and her high clear voice, Elita captures the performance and irony of femininity in all its darkness.

It's rare to find an artist with such a clear aesthetic that has the musical skills to back it up. I found Hell Hill to be an effective continuation of Elita's work while offering new musical and emotional range from her. Each track is able to stand on its own, but my favorites are Only Famous For My Tits, Girls on the Internet, and Unidentified Emotion.
